Allison was born in the Sierra Nevada Mountains of California and always has been an avid outdoor enthusiast and active athlete. She was a collegiate volleyball and track athlete while getting a Bachelors of Science in Kinesiology from Westmont College in Santa Barbara, California in 2003. Allison was a Physical Education teacher before her husband, Brian, and she moved to Ames, Iowa in 2006. They lived in Iowa for 13 years before moving back to California to be back in the mountains and near the ocean with their boys.
Allison is excited to use her passion for movement, kinesiology and to help all walks of life find a way to live an active and healthy lifestyle. She enjoys helping people with bodily restrictions to find their full range of motion and dynamic mobility. As well as continuing to work with healthy fitness enthusiasts, weekend warriors, student-athletes and other active individuals to reach their goals. She knows there is nothing more rewarding than helping someone solve a challenge that has hindered their fitness goal through creative and dynamic mobility.
An experienced athlete and active individual, Allison understands the focused pursuit of knowledge and physical effort needed to accomplish your goals. She is committed to continually educating herself on breaking technologies, modalities and fitness endeavors. She is trained in Sports Massage, Deep Tissue Massage, Trigger Point Therapy, Reflexology, Myofascial Release, History of Touch for Health and Energy Kinesiology, Opposing Muscle Theory, and Rock Tape Basic and Performance applications of kinesiology tape, Rock Blades, Rock Pods and Rock Floss.
Outside of working to help athletes achieve their goals, Allison is a proud wife to Brian and mother of two boys (Micah & Eli) and and her dog assistant, Patrick. She loves volleyball and works with various practitioners in her network to stay up to date in the Sports Medicine world. She enjoys year round outdoor activities (snowshoeing, cross country skiing, snowboarding, water skiing, cliff jumping, rock climbing, running, cycling, swimming, stand up paddleboarding, kayaking, hiking, mountain biking), playing sports with family (volleyball,soccer, basketball, baseball, catch, KUUB, Spikeball, KanJam, CrossNet), competitive women's/coed volleyball, regular exercise (CrossFit, running, walking, strength training, agility training, cycling) and coaching youth volleyball. If she has to sit still, Allison enjoys reading coaching or historical fiction books snuggled up with her family on their couch in the sunlight or by a fire.
